This page explains privacy rights that may apply to visitors of DeepVoiceTest.com under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK data-protection law, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar privacy laws.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Data Security pages.
Important Privacy Facts About Our Voice Tools
DeepVoiceTest.com is designed to minimize the amount of voice-related information that leaves your device.
When you use a microphone-based voice tool:
- microphone audio is processed locally in your browser
- microphone audio is not uploaded to our server for analysis
- we do not create or retain saved voice recordings
- we do not use an external voice-analysis API
- derived results such as Hz, pitch, vocal range, voice type, or tone results are not sent to Google Analytics
- those derived results are not sent to another external analytics or voice-processing service
We also do not use microphone audio to authenticate your identity or create a stored voiceprint database.
Normal website operation may still involve Google Analytics, hosting infrastructure, browser storage, and information you voluntarily send through the contact form.
EEA Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the EU GDPR may give you certain rights concerning personal data processed about you.
Depending on the circumstances and legal basis involved, these rights may include:
- Access — requesting information about personal data processed about you
- Rectification — requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Erasure — requesting deletion where the legal requirements are met
- Restriction — requesting that certain processing be limited
- Data portability — receiving certain information in a structured format where this right applies
- Objection — objecting to certain processing, including some processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent
- Complaint — raising a concern with an appropriate data-protection authority
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal conditions, exemptions, or verification requirements.
UK Privacy Rights
If you are located in the United Kingdom, your rights may arise under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
These rights are broadly similar to those described above and may include rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and consent where applicable.
UK users may also have the right to raise a complaint with the UK’s data-protection authority.
Legal Bases and Website Processing
The legal basis for processing can depend on the type of information, the purpose of the processing, and the jurisdiction involved.
DeepVoiceTest.com may process limited information for purposes such as:
- operating and securing the website
- responding to messages
- analyzing general site usage
- diagnosing technical issues
- complying with applicable legal obligations
Depending on the circumstances, processing may rely on:
- consent where required
- legitimate operational or security interests
- steps taken in response to a request
- compliance with legal obligations
- another lawful basis available under applicable law
We avoid treating browser microphone permission as automatically equivalent to consent for server-side processing. Our voice tools process microphone audio locally in the browser rather than collecting that audio on our server.
Google Analytics and Privacy Rights
DeepVoiceTest.com currently uses Google Analytics for general website usage and performance measurement.
Google Analytics is separate from our voice-analysis workflow.
We do not send:
- microphone audio
- detected frequency results
- pitch results
- vocal range results
- voice type results
- tone results
to Google Analytics.
Depending on your location, analytics cookies or similar technologies may be subject to consent requirements or other privacy rules.
You may also have rights relating to information processed through analytics, depending on applicable law and the circumstances.
Automated Tool Results
Some DeepVoiceTest tools automatically calculate or classify information from user input.
These automated outputs are intended for informational and educational purposes.
They are not used by DeepVoiceTest.com to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you.
For example, a voice-type, pitch, or tone result is not used by DeepVoiceTest.com to determine eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, healthcare, housing, or another consequential decision.
California Privacy Rights
If the CCPA/CPRA applies to DeepVoiceTest.com and to information processed about you, California residents may have certain rights.
Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to:
- know what categories of personal information are processed
- request access to certain personal information
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions
- receive information about certain disclosures
- opt out of certain sales or sharing where the law applies
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable
- receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising applicable rights
Not every CCPA/CPRA right necessarily applies to every person, business, or category of information.
Sale, Sharing, and Advertising
DeepVoiceTest.com does not currently use Google AdSense or another advertising platform.
We also do not send microphone audio or derived voice-test results to Google Analytics for advertising or profiling purposes.
Because definitions of “sale” and “sharing” can vary under privacy laws, we avoid making overly broad claims that no data processing could ever fall within a particular statutory definition.
If advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising technologies are introduced in the future, this page and our related privacy disclosures should be updated as appropriate.
Voice Data and Sensitive Information
DeepVoiceTest.com does not intentionally collect or retain microphone voice recordings through its voice-analysis workflow.
We do not create a stored voiceprint for identification or authentication.
However, users may voluntarily include personal or sensitive information in messages sent through the contact form or email.
Please do not send unnecessary:
- medical records
- passwords
- identification documents
- financial information
- sensitive health details
- voice recordings
unless there is a clear and appropriate reason to do so.
Cookies and Local Browser Storage
DeepVoiceTest.com uses Google Analytics and browser localStorage.
localStorage may be used for certain preferences, tool state, interface settings, or other non-audio browser-side information.
We do not use localStorage to save voice recordings.
Some browser-side information may remain on your device until it is cleared, replaced, or removed through browser or site behavior.
You can generally manage cookies and site data through your browser settings.
For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
Data Retention
Different categories of information may be retained differently.
Microphone audio
Microphone audio is processed locally in the browser and is not retained by DeepVoiceTest.com as a saved recording.
Derived voice results
Results such as Hz, pitch, vocal range, voice type, or tone output are not sent to Google Analytics or another external analytics service.
Browser-side storage
Some local site or tool information may remain in localStorage until cleared or changed.
Analytics information
Analytics retention depends on Google Analytics configuration and Google’s applicable processing practices.
Server logs
Hosting and security logs may be retained according to operational, security, and provider settings.
Contact messages
Emails may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate issues, keep appropriate records, or meet legal requirements.
We do not publish unsupported fixed retention periods where those periods have not been verified.
International Processing
Some service providers used to operate DeepVoiceTest.com may process information in countries other than your own.
These may include services involved in:
- website hosting
- analytics
- email delivery
Such processing may be subject to the provider’s contractual arrangements, privacy terms, and applicable legal safeguards.
We avoid making unsupported claims about specific international-transfer mechanisms unless they have been verified for the relevant provider and processing activity.
How to Submit a Privacy Request
Privacy-related requests can be sent to:
Email: contact@deepvoicetest.com
Using the subject line “Privacy Request” can help us identify your message.
Where relevant, please explain:
- what type of request you are making
- which information or interaction the request relates to
- any details reasonably necessary for us to understand the request
Please do not send excessive identification information unless it is necessary for verification.
Verification of Requests
Before acting on certain privacy requests, we may need enough information to reasonably verify that:
- the request is legitimate
- it relates to you or an authorized person
- responding would not expose another person’s information
The amount of verification required should be proportionate to the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the information involved.
Authorized Agents
Where applicable law allows an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may request reasonable evidence showing that the agent has authority to act for you.
We may also need to verify your identity directly where the law permits or requires it.
Response Timing
We aim to respond to valid privacy requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
The exact response period may depend on:
- your jurisdiction
- the type of request
- whether verification is required
- the complexity of the request
- whether an extension is permitted under applicable law
We avoid publishing one universal response deadline when different laws may impose different requirements.
Complaints to Privacy Authorities
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to raise a privacy complaint with an appropriate regulator.
For example:
- users in the EEA may be able to contact their national data-protection authority
- UK users may be able to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office
- California residents may be able to review guidance from the California Privacy Protection Agency
You may contact us first if you would like us to investigate a privacy concern directly, but doing so does not remove any right you may have to approach a regulator.
No Discrimination for Valid Privacy Requests
Where applicable law requires it, DeepVoiceTest.com will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising a valid privacy right.
This does not prevent the site from taking actions reasonably necessary to verify, fulfill, or document a request.
Changes to This Page
We may update this GDPR & CCPA page if:
- privacy laws change
- site functionality changes
- analytics or advertising technologies change
- service providers change
- our privacy practices change
- an inaccurate disclosure is identified
When a substantive update is made, the Last updated date at the top of this page should be revised.
