This Cookie Policy explains how DeepVoiceTest.com uses cookies, browser localStorage, analytics technologies, and similar browser-based storage or tracking tools.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Data Security pages.
What This Policy Covers
DeepVoiceTest.com may use several types of browser technology for different purposes.
These currently include:
| Technology | Current Use |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Yes |
Browser localStorage | Yes |
| Voice recording storage | No |
| External voice-analysis API | No |
| Google AdSense | No |
| Other advertising cookies | No |
Cookies and localStorage are not the same technology, but both can store information in your browser. We discuss both here because they are relevant to how the site operates and how users can manage browser data.
Google Analytics
DeepVoiceTest.com currently uses Google Analytics to understand general website usage and performance.
Analytics may help us understand information such as:
- which pages are visited
- how visitors move through the site
- general device or browser characteristics
- approximate engagement with content
- technical performance patterns
Depending on the Google Analytics configuration and applicable browser or consent settings, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies.
Google Analytics is separate from our browser-based voice-analysis process.
We do not send the following to Google Analytics:
- microphone audio
- saved voice recordings
- detected Hz results
- pitch results
- vocal range results
- voice type results
- tone results
Google may process analytics information in accordance with its own privacy policies and technologies.
Browser localStorage
DeepVoiceTest.com uses browser localStorage for some site or tool-related information.
localStorage is a browser feature that allows information to remain on your device between page visits until it is cleared, replaced, or otherwise removed by browser or site logic.
Depending on the feature, it may be used for information such as:
- preferences
- tool state
- interface-related settings
- other non-audio browser-side information
We do not use localStorage to save microphone voice recordings.
Because browser storage can change as features are updated, we avoid claiming that every stored item has one fixed purpose or lifetime unless that behavior has been specifically verified.
Voice Audio Is Not Stored in Cookies or localStorage
When you use a microphone-based voice tool on DeepVoiceTest.com, microphone audio is processed locally in your browser.
We do not intentionally:
- save your microphone audio in cookies
- save voice recordings in
localStorage - upload microphone audio to our server for analysis
- send microphone audio to Google Analytics
- send microphone audio to an external voice-analysis service
Derived results such as Hz, pitch, vocal range, voice type, or tone output are also not sent to Google Analytics or another external analytics service.
For more detail about microphone processing, see our Data Security page.
Strictly Necessary and Functional Technologies
Some website functionality, security features, WordPress functionality, hosting infrastructure, or browser-based tools may require strictly necessary or functional technologies.
The exact cookies used can depend on active site features, security settings, WordPress behavior, and technical configuration.
Because these technologies can change, we do not publish guessed cookie names or claim that a specific cookie is always present when that has not been verified.
Functional technologies may be used to support purposes such as:
- remembering site preferences
- maintaining tool state
- supporting interface behavior
- maintaining website security
- enabling necessary site functionality
These technologies are different from advertising cookies.
Advertising Cookies
DeepVoiceTest.com does not currently use Google AdSense or another advertising platform.
As a result, we do not currently intentionally place advertising cookies through AdSense or another ad network.
If advertising is introduced in the future, this Cookie Policy, our Privacy Policy, and any required consent controls should be updated to reflect the advertising technologies actually in use.
Advertising technologies should not be added without also reviewing the site’s privacy and consent disclosures.
Cookies vs. localStorage
Cookies and localStorage both store browser-side information, but they work differently.
A cookie may be sent with relevant web requests depending on its settings.
localStorage generally remains in the browser and is not automatically attached to every web request.
For most users, the practical point is that both can usually be managed through browser privacy or site-data controls.
Clearing site data may remove saved preferences or reset certain tool settings.
Consent and Analytics
Privacy and cookie rules vary by location.
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential analytics cookies or similar technologies are used, those technologies should be operated in accordance with the relevant requirements.
DeepVoiceTest.com does not claim on this page that every analytics script is technically blocked until consent unless that behavior has been specifically implemented and verified.
Cookie-policy wording alone does not replace appropriate technical consent controls where those controls are required.
Managing Cookies and Site Data
Most modern browsers allow you to manage or remove cookies and other site data.
Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
- delete cookies
- clear
localStorage - remove site-specific data
- restrict certain cookies
- block third-party technologies
- adjust tracking or privacy settings
- revoke microphone permissions
Browser menus and labels change over time, so we recommend using your browser’s current privacy or site-settings controls rather than relying on fixed instructions that may become outdated.
Blocking or clearing browser storage may cause some preferences or features to reset.
Microphone Permission Is Separate From Cookies
Microphone permission is controlled by your browser or device and is separate from cookie consent.
Using a microphone-based tool may require you to allow microphone access.
You can deny or revoke that permission through your browser or operating-system settings.
Removing cookies or localStorage does not necessarily revoke microphone permission, and revoking microphone permission does not necessarily remove cookies or other browser data.
Third-Party Services
DeepVoiceTest.com currently uses certain third-party services for general site operation.
These include:
- Google Analytics for general website usage analytics
- Hostinger for hosting and website infrastructure
- email infrastructure used to send and receive contact messages
Not every third-party service necessarily sets a browser cookie.
This Cookie Policy focuses primarily on browser storage and analytics technologies. Broader third-party data processing is explained in our Privacy Policy.
How Long Cookies and Browser Data Remain
Different browser technologies may remain for different periods.
localStorage
Information stored in localStorage may remain until:
- you clear site data
- your browser removes it
- the site replaces or removes it
- relevant site logic changes
Analytics cookies or identifiers
Their duration may depend on Google Analytics configuration, browser behavior, consent choices, and Google’s applicable technology.
We do not publish a universal fixed retention period when it would not accurately describe all browser environments and configurations.
Voice recordings
DeepVoiceTest.com does not retain saved microphone voice recordings through its voice-analysis workflow.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your browser and location, you may have several ways to control data-related technologies.
These may include:
- clearing cookies
- clearing browser storage
- limiting certain analytics technologies
- changing site permissions
- using browser privacy features
- withdrawing or changing consent where a consent control is available
For broader privacy rights, see our GDPR & CCPA page.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if:
- Google Analytics configuration changes
- new cookies or browser-storage technologies are introduced
- advertising is added
- tool functionality changes
- legal or regulatory requirements change
- an inaccurate disclosure is identified
When a meaningful update is made, the Last updated date at the top of this page should be revised.
Because technologies can change over time, this page should describe the site’s actual current behavior rather than preserve outdated cookie claims.
